Ministry

Rev. Joel Miller was called as Senior Minister by the congregation in May of 2000. He has been active in the community, working on several issues, including reproductive rights for women, serving on the board of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice as well as Planned Parenthood, and including mental wellness issues, serving on the board of the Erie County Mental Health Association. Prior to serving the Buffalo congregation, Rev. Joel was the founding minister of the Columbine Unitarian Universalist Church, and before that helped found the Mission Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation.

Barbara Wagner is the Minister of Music for our church, leading our outstanding 70-voice choir and bringing a wonderful diversity of musicians and musical styles to our worship celebrations. Ms. Wagner is also the Director of the Buffalo Gay Men's Chorus, which rehearses and performs in our church.

Martha Malkiewicz is our Director of Religious Education, and has been part of our congregation for many years. She organizes a wide range of diverse activities for our children as well as family activities and events throughout the year. She is also a musician with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
